Whether that means living longer, receiving treatment, or avoiding disease altogether—companies produce and analyse massive sets of data, creating innovative product solutions to keep us fit.

Together with The Net Value, we’ll feature four exceptional people that are bringing their own unique value to the ecosystem here in Sardinia.

Lisa Catanzaro ✅
Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco with a focus on digital health technology has worked in roles that cross health, business, education and academia. With a PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience Lisa was awarded a grant partnered with Gruppo San Donato and University of Cagliari entitled: Digital Precision Health in Sardinia, Longevity Lessons from the Local Population Launching Telemedicine. Now her new health coaching practice incorporates principles of lifestyle medicine with ongoing research on environmental, lifestyle, and psychosocial health data.

Paolo Anedda ✅
Dr. Paolo Anedda is the Head of Software Development at Inpeco, where he leads a team of over 130 developers. He is responsible for the design and development of complex software systems that automate data and clinical processes across various areas of the healthcare sector.

With over 20 years of experience in computer science, Dr. Anedda has applied his expertise across a broad range of sectors, including healthcare, biomedical engineering, and both B2B and B2C services. He has led numerous projects in collaboration with public institutions, private companies, and government bodies, contributing to the advancement of technology-driven innovation in critical domains.

Stefano Benedikter ✅
Stefano is the founder of Nuraxi, a platform combining Sardinia’s centenarian wisdom with AI to decode longevity and enhance human intelligence.

His entrepreneurial impact spans Africa, where he launched telecom operations, raised a $50M agri-tech fund, established Zimbabwe’s first blueberry export operation, and brought major brands like Pizza Hut and Vodafone to the continent. Starting at 16 with an online gaming community, he refined his skills at Merrill Lynch and Arthur D. Little before attending Stanford Business School.

With German-Italian roots and Sardinian ties, Stefano has achieved seven successful exits by merging traditional knowledge with modern innovation to solve complex global challenges.

Matteo Cantarelli ✅
Matteo is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of MetaCell, a global leader in scientific software solutions serving life sciences, with offices in Boston, Oxford, and Cagliari. MetaCell supports leading research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and scientific communities with digital tools that advance discovery and collaboration.

In 2012, Matteo served as Principal Research Associate at University College London and co-founded the OpenWorm Foundation, an open science initiative creating a biologically accurate digital model of C. elegans.

His work has been published by the Royal Society, cited in The Economist, and includes a patent in interactive visualization. He holds a Master’s in Systems Engineering from École Normale Supérieure de Paris-Saclay and degrees in Electronic Engineering from the University of Cagliari. He remains driven by collaboration, scientific openness, and technology’s transformative power in life sciences.
