Paul Frank Wagner, in collaboration with Castia Art, presents the art exhibition “Wabi-Sardi"

Ink and pencil drawings, along with stone sculptures and sticks: dive into a visual journey that celebrates the essence of the island and its deep connection with nature!

Paul Frank Wagner, in collaboration with Castia Art, presents the art exhibition “Wabi-Sardi | A way of living that focuses on finding beauty in the imperfections of Sardinian life.” Featuring raw materials and innovative techniques showcased at The Net Value, Wagner invites us to rediscover the poetry of imperfection.

The opening will take place on Friday, November 8th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The exhibition will be open to the public for free until November 30th, by appointment only, from Monday to Friday during the following hours:

• Morning: 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM

• Afternoon: 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM

About the Artist

Paul Frank Wagner is a contemporary artist inspired by Arte Povera and Land Art. Born in France in 1970 to French parents, he traveled extensively in his youth, following his family across Panama, Paris, and the United States. His upbringing was strongly influenced by his connection to nature, particularly the ocean, and the artistic circles he encountered, especially during his studies in New York. There, he met influential figures such as Bernar Venet and Christo. Unsurprisingly, his early works used rope as an artistic medium, including his first installation at the age of 21.

After moving to Miami, Wagner developed a distinctive style, creating rope-based artworks. His first major recognition as an artist came in 2005 at a New York exhibition curated by Ok Harris Gallery. That same year, one of his pieces was featured in the group exhibition “30 Ways to Make a Painting” alongside renowned artists like Christo, Nam June Paik, and Allan McCollum. Returning to Europe, Wagner lived and worked in Paris, exploring rope’s artistic potential through installations and live performances. He later moved to Sardinia, Italy, where he currently resides and creates works increasingly tied to the environment, experimenting with new materials like stones and sticks.

Paul is also passionate about educational projects, such as contemporary art workshops. He developed the art curriculum Sticks & Stones, which led to his unique teaching method. His goal is to engage young people in environmental awareness through art.
